How do I register for the tournament?
Register online at questforthecrest.com or call the office at 954-725-4010 for assistance. For payment by check, make payable to Bluewater Movements, Inc and mail to:

Upon receipt of check, a staff member will contact the captain to complete registration. Teams may also register in person at each kickoff party. The only accepted methods of payment at a kickoff party are credit cards or cash.
What is the entry fee?
The early entry fee is $1,200 per boat (plus tax) and includes (6) social bands for event festivities. Late entry fee is $1,700 per boat (plus tax). There are additional optional entry calcuttas that teams can enter as well. Additional social bands may also be purchased if needed.
What are the eligible species of fish?
Eligible Billfish – Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish
Eligible Gamefish – Dolphin, Wahoo, Tuna (Blackfin, Big Eye and Yellowfin), Cobia and Kingfish
How Many Days of Fishing Are There?
There are two days of fishing in each tournament.
What are the hook requirements?
All teams must use a non-offset circle hook when presented with live or dead bait. J hooks are permitted in artificial baits only.
How many anglers are permitted?
There is no limit on anglers or crew in the tournaments.
What are the rules regarding leader length and test?
Line test and type is at each team’s discretion. Maximum leader length is 15 feet and maximum combined length with double line is 20 feet.
How many lines can we fish?
All boats are permitted to fish up to (7) lines in the water during each tournament. (2) artificial or natural teasers are permitted for each team and do not factor into the seven-line count.
Is Live Chumming Allowed?
No. All fished baits must be retained in the boat once removed from a hook. They may be discarded at the end of each day after lines out.
Is hook and hand permitted in the tournaments?
Yes. A rod may be passed between team members when fighting a fish with no limit on how many times it may be passed. However, a release that occurs under this scenario should be called in as a release for the boat rather than an angler.
Is Sonar Permitted?
Yes. Sonars may not be turned on until lines in each day.
What time are lines in/lines out?
What are the boundaries for each tournament?
Teams may not exit the boundaries when fighting a fish.

What method is used to verify billfish releases in the tournament?
All releases must be documented on video by each team as stated in the rules. SD Cards are the only acceptable form of video media in the tournament. Teams must provide their own media.
