The Mission Begins Here

Operation Sailfish is where elite teams launch their pursuit of the Burgundy Jacket. Converging on Sailfish Marina Resort, crews enter a two-day high-stakes battle against sailfish on the high seas off West Palm Beach, FL, where an $800,000 purse, early-season momentum, and the exclusive Champion’s Dog Tags await those who rise above the fleet.

But Operation Sailfish stands for something greater than competition alone. Inspired by the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment of the brave men and women of the United States Military, the tournament was built to honor those who have answered the call to serve our country. Through the tournament’s signature Take a Hero Fishing Day and longstanding partnership with Operation Homefront, a 501(c)(3) organization, Operation Sailfish proudly supports military families and the communities they have worked tirelessly to protect. At the center of it all stands a tournament built on patriotism, camaraderie, and respect for those who serve.

  • Early Entry Deadline: January XX, 2027 ($1,200 per boat + tax)
  • Registration Deadline: January 13, 2027 ($1,700 per boat + tax)
All tournament entry fees are non-refundable. Teams may register online, by mail to Bluewater Movements, Inc., PO Box 50114, Lighthouse Point, FL 33074, or in person at the Captain’s Meeting. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by the tournament’s early entry deadline of January XX, 2027. Teams registering in person may pay by cash, Visa, Mastercard, or American Express, with a 3% convenience fee applied to all credit card transactions. CHECKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT CAPTAIN’S MEETING. All tournament entry fees and optional calcutta payments must be finalized prior to the close of the Captain’s Meeting.

Release Round-Up

Winner Take All — $xx,xxx

Can your team survive all four rounds? This optional entry category is divided into four rounds across two days of competition, consisting of an Early Bite and Late Bite session each day. At the start of every round, a number between 1 and 5 will be randomly drawn from a sealed container to determine the minimum number of sailfish a team must release to advance. Each number will only be drawn once. To win the pot, a team must survive all four rounds. If multiple teams advance through the final round, the team with the most releases in that round will be declared the winner, with ties broken by the earliest last qualifying release. If no team completes all four rounds, the pot rolls over to the next leg of the Quest for the Crest Sailfish Series.
